In 1976 it was reported that buses on the Hanley to Bagnall route in Staffordshire, England no longer stopped to pick up passengers.

This came to light when one of them, a Mr.Bill Hancock, complained that buses on the outward journey regularly sailed past queues of up to 30 people !

When questioned on the matterĀ Councillor Arthur Cholerton said that if these buses stopped to pick up passangers they would disrupt the timetable.
